These Terms of Service govern your use of Hider, a mobile application that automatically detects and mosaics faces in photos and videos to protect privacy. By using Hider, you agree to these terms.
Article 1. Purpose
These terms define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Resonance Space and users regarding the use of the Hider mobile application.
Article 2. Definitions
"App" means the Hider mobile application and all related services, features, and content provided by the Company.
"User" means any individual or entity who agrees to these Terms and downloads, installs, or uses the App.
"Paid Services" means premium features, subscriptions, or one-time purchases available through in-app payment.
"Content" means photos, videos, images, and all processed results that users handle through the App.
Article 3. Service Description
The App provides the following services:
AI Face Detection: Automatically detect faces in photos and videos using artificial intelligence
Mosaic/Blur Processing: Apply various mosaic, blur, and sticker effects to detected areas
Manual Selection: Manually select areas for mosaic processing
Batch Processing: Process multiple photos simultaneously
Video Processing: Real-time face tracking and video mosaic processing
License Plate/Logo Detection: Detect and process additional objects such as license plates and logos
Article 4. Formation of Agreement
4.1 Agreement Formation
The service agreement is formed when a user downloads and installs the App and agrees to these Terms. Installation or use of the App constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
4.2 Eligibility
Service access may be restricted in the following cases:
Children under 14 years old (without parental consent)
Users previously restricted for Terms violations
Persons prohibited from using the service by applicable law
Article 5. User Obligations
Users shall not:
Use the App to infringe on others' portrait rights, privacy, or copyrights
Process or distribute illegal recordings, obscene material, or crime-related content
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
Circumvent security features, hack, or distribute malware
Interfere with service operation or cause excessive server load
Misappropriate others' accounts or payment information
Provide false information or request refunds through fraudulent means
Article 6. Paid Services and Payment
6.1 Free Features
Basic mosaic processing (limited daily uses)
Basic blur effects (with watermark)
6.2 Premium Features (Paid)
Unlimited photo/video processing
All mosaic, blur, and sticker effects
Video processing and export
Batch processing feature
Watermark removal
Ad removal
Priority customer support
6.3 Payment
All Paid Services are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment amounts are based on prices displayed in each store and may include VAT and other taxes.
6.4 Subscription Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The same amount will be charged to the registered payment method upon auto-renewal.
Article 7. Refund Policy
Refund Policy Notice
Subscriptions: Refunds are subject to Apple App Store or Google Play Store refund policies. The Company does not provide refunds separately from store policies.
One-time Purchases: Due to the nature of digital content being immediately accessible upon purchase, refunds are generally not available. Refund requests may be considered within 7 days of purchase only if service is completely unusable due to technical defects.
Non-refundable Cases: Change of mind, dissatisfaction after use, device change, or issues caused by user error are not eligible for refunds.
Refund Requests: Please submit refund requests through each store's customer support.
Subscription Cancellation
Manage subscription cancellation through App Store or Google Play settings
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle
Premium features remain accessible until the paid period expires
No prorated refunds are provided for unused periods after cancellation
Article 8. Intellectual Property
8.1 App Rights
All design, logos, software, source code, UI/UX, algorithms, technology, content, and related intellectual property rights of the App are exclusively owned by the Company.
8.2 User Content
Users retain full ownership and responsibility for photos, videos, and other content processed through the App. The Company does not claim any rights to user content and does not collect, store, or analyze user content.
Article 9. Privacy
The Company protects user privacy in accordance with our separate Privacy Policy. The App processes media locally on user devices whenever possible and minimizes uploads to external servers.
Article 10. Disclaimers
Service Interruption: The Company is not liable for service interruptions due to force majeure events including natural disasters, war, terrorism, hacking, system failures, or government regulations.
User Fault: The Company is not liable for damages caused by user negligence, misuse, or Terms violations.
AI Accuracy: AI features including face detection and object recognition do not guarantee 100% accuracy. The Company is not liable for damages caused by AI errors, missed detections, or false detections.
Content Responsibility: Users are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, and quality of content processed through the App.
Third-party Services: The Company is not liable for damages caused by errors, failures, or policy changes of integrated third-party services (app stores, payment systems, etc.).
Indirect Damages: The Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from service use.
Article 11. Limitation of Liability
In the event of damages caused by the Company's fault, the Company's liability is limited to the amount paid by the user to the Company (payments made in the last 12 months). For free users, the Company disclaims liability to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Article 12. Service Changes and Termination
The Company may modify, suspend, or terminate all or part of the Service due to business needs, technical changes, or legal requirements.
Service changes will be notified in advance through in-app notices or email, including details and effective dates.
In case of service termination, users will be notified at least 30 days in advance, and paid users will receive refunds for remaining periods or alternative services.
Article 13. Amendment of Terms
The Company may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable law. Amendments will be announced through in-app notices at least 7 days before the effective date. For amendments unfavorable to users, notice will be given 30 days in advance. Users who do not express objection by the effective date are deemed to have agreed to the amendments.
Article 14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. In case of disputes arising from service use, both parties shall endeavor to resolve them through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, the Seoul Central District Court of the Republic of Korea shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
